A 1-0 home loss to Doncaster saw Leeds slip to fifth spot with Rovers going up to fourth. The visitors outplayed Leeds and held on to their first half goal.
Leaders Swansea had no problems beating Port Vale and increase their lead by five points ahead of second place Carlisle who won 1-0 at home to Crewe. Forest also lost ground as Swindon scored the winner late on to win 2-1.
