Leeds bounce back

Leeds recovered from two straight defeats for a convincing 3-0 win over Northampton Town and stay in the hunt for an immediate return to the Championship.

Frazer Richardson (43), Rui Marques (52) and Curtis Weston (90) were on target to ensure Leeds took full advantage of their rivals' participation in the FA Cup third round to keep the pressure on at the top of the table. The bright spot was debut man Neil Kilkenny (loan from Birmingham) who shone with his inspiring performance.

In the only other game Carisle also consolidated their claims with a 3-2 come from behind victory over bottom club Port Vale.
